GRAPHIC DESIGN
The graphic design industry is a creative process most often involving a client and a designer and usually completed in conjunction with producers of form (printers, programmers, sign makers) undertaken in order to convey a specific message to a targeted audience.
Advantages of plastics
The advantages of plastics in Graphic Design are numerous. Plastics are much lighter than metal, which equate into better fuel economy and cheaper to manufacture parts. Additionally, the lighter weight aids in safer material handling. Plastics can be designed to be impact and dent resistant, and modified for improved strength. Corrosion resistance, color and texture flexibility, the economical components and aesthetics are other advantages of plastics.
Materials Utilized Within Industry
Printable substrates (rigid and flexible) used in the graphic display include Polystyrene (HIPS), Foamboard, Sintra, Acrylic, Vinyl Banner, Laminates, Mounting Adhesives and UV Digital Media.
